JESUS IS

IS JESUS A GOD TO YOU?

Who does the bible teach that Jesus is?

Hebrews 12: 2

(2)  Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Hebrews 2: 9

(9)  But we see Jesus, who was made little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

    There is a right direction to look in and to keep our eyes on today--that right direction is Jesus.

    The writer of Hebrews, under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost, said, "Looking unto Jesus."  He said again, "But we see Jesus."  Our eyes are on Jesus because He is the One Who started our faith and He is the One Who shall finish it.

IS JESUS GOD TO YOU?

    Many in this hour do not know who Jesus is.  They say,"I know God, but I don't know Jesus."

WHO IS JESUS?

    The word of God is plain.  In the Word Jesus is lifted up as Creator of all things.

Colossians 1: 16

(16)  For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers:  all things were created by him, and for him:

Because He Lives, We Live!

    For by Him (JESUS) were all things created.  All things were created by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

    That are in heaven and that are in earth.  Everything that in in heaven, Jesus created it.  Everything that is in the earth, He created.  He also created the heaven and the earth.

John 1: 1-3

(1)  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

(2)  The same was in the beginning with God.

(3)  All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

 Jesus Loved The Church And Gave Himself For It!

 ALL THINGS WERE MADE BY HIM!

    Thrones, dominions, principalities, powers all things were created by Him, and for Him.  JESUS IS THE CREATOR!

    When we look up and see the heavens, the sun, moon and stars, we know that all these things were made by Him.

    When we look up at the earth, the dirt and dust, the trees, and the water, we know that all things were made by Him.

    When we look at mankind, the animals, birds, and reptiles, we know that all things were made by Jesus.

Colossians 1: 17

(17)  And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

    Jesus is the First and the Last.  It is declared that He is before all things, and all things exist because of Him.  We are alive today because of Him.  The air we breathe and the water we drink is because of Him.  we were born as a baby and grow up into maturity only because of Him.

Because He Lives, We Live!

Colossians 1:18

(18)  And he is the head of the body, the church:  who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have preeminence.

Jesus Loves The Church

    Jesus loved the church and gave Himself for it.  He is the Head of the church.  Jesus said about the church:

Matthew 16: 18

(18)  And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

    Jesus said that, I will build my church.  He built the church upon Himself.  The one who created the heaven and the earth and all there is, also created the church, which is His body.

Jesus is the Head of the Church

     Jesus said, "I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." Hell cannot move it, the devil cannot stop it, men cannot destroy it, because Jesus built the church.  We still have the church and Jesus loves it, and gave Himself for it.

Nails In His Hands And Feet

     Jesus was beaten at the whipping post for the church.  Herod gave the command for Jesus to be scourged.  Jesus was made to carry a cross to Golgotha's hill, also called the Place of the Skull.  At Calvary, they laid Him down on the cross, with his back that had been beaten to the cross, a crown of thorns was on His head, they put nails in His hands and feet, and they thrust a spear into His side.  The they took Jesus off the cross and placed Him in a grave and He desended into hell for you and me.

    Hell could not hold Him and the grave could not keep Him.  He arose and revived from the dead.  The Scripture said that He was the First Born from the dead.  He showed Himself alive after His passion.  He was seen of them for forty days, speaking of things concerning the Kingdom of God.  Jesus rose out of sight of the crowd at Bethany.  He went to the throne of God and He is in the throne today--as both Lord and Christ.

 Jesus Is.....

1.  bigger than sin;

2.  bigger than transgressions;

3.  bigger than iniquities;

4.  bigger than sickness;

5.  bigger than a law we could not keep;

6.  bigger than the graveyard;

7.  bigger than the devil.

Jesus Is God -- A Good God

Philippians 2: 9-11

(9)  Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

(10)  That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth,and things under the earth;

(11)  And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

     God said that every knee would bow.  He has a Name above every name.  There have been many names in this world, but the Name of Jesus is the greatest.

Ephesians 1: 21

(21)  Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

    When Jesus was raised from the dead, He was raised above every name - - not only in this world, but also in the world that is to come.  There is no name above Jesus' Name.

 Jesus' Name Is Above Every Name

 Acts 4: 12

(12)  Neither is there salvation in any other:  for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

There is no other way to be saved.  Jesus is the only way.  He is the Savior.  Jesus is the One Who was in the burning bush.  He is the One Who was in Aaron's rod.

He is the One Who was in the cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night.

He is the One Who was in the strong east wind that parted the Red Sea.

He is the One Who caused the Jordan River to stop and back up as the children of Israel crossed over on dry ground.

He is the One Who was the power in Elijah's mantle and David's sling shot.

He is the One Who caused the iron ax to swim.

He is the healing that was in Peter's shadow and Paul's handkerchiefs.

He is John's pearly white city.

He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!

 God Over All And Blessed Forever!

He laid aside His royal robe, and put on a peasant's gown.

He was rich, yet for our sakes He became poor.

He slept in another man's manger.

He crossed the lake in another man's boat.

He was buried in another man's tomb, but came forth to give life unto all.

John 11: 25-26

(25)  Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life:  He that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

(26)  And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.  Believest thou this?

      The bible teaches us that whosoever calls on the namne of the Lord shall be saved!  Call on His Name before it is too late.  He will save you from your soul and give you some heaven to go to heaven in.  He will save you from your sin, transgressions, and iniquities, and deliver you from the power of darkness.  There is freedom and blessings in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
