HEM OF HIS GARMENT

THOSE THAT TOUCH ARE MADE PERFECTLY WHOLE!

Isaiah 6: 1-4

(1)  In the year that the king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.

(2)  Above it stood the seraphims:  each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.

(3)  And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts:  the whole earth is full of his glory.

(4)  And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.

Isaiah saw the Lord, high and lifted up and his train filled the temple.  He saw the seraphims and described how they looked and what they said.  He said the port of the door moved at the voice of him who cried and the house was filled with smoke.

TWO WORDS:

TRAIN FILLED THE TEMPLE.

SMOKED FILLED THE HOUSE.

The train was the long flowing robe that filled the temple.

THE  TEMPLE  TODAY  IS  THE  CHURCH!

The outskirt of his royal robe filled the temple in Isaiah's day in the year that king Uzziah died.  Isaiah saw this.

In our day the hem of the garment of Jesus is filling the church.

THE HEM OF HIS GARMENT!

The woman with the issue of blood touched the border of his garment was immediately made whole.

Matthew 9:  21-22

(21)  For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.

(22)  But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole.  And the woman was made whole from that hour.

 Matthew 14:  34-36

(34)  And when they were over, they came into the land of Gennesaret.

(35)  And when the man of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country round about, and brought unto him all that were diseased;

(36)  And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment;  and as many touched were made perfectly whole.

1.  When the men had knowledge of him.

KNOWLEDGE THAT IT WAS JESUS.

2.  They sent out into all that country round about.

3.  Brought unto him all that were diseased.

WHAT DID THEY DO?

1.  Besought Him.

2.  That they might only touch the hem of his garment.

They only wanted to touch the hem of his garment!  Remember Isaiah saw the temple completely filled with his train and you know that Jesus is in the midst of the church because he himself said:

 Matthew 18: 20

(20)  For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

AND THE CHURCH IS FILLED WITH THE

HEM OF HIS GARMENT!

WHAT HAPPENED TO THOSE THAT

TOUCHED THE HEM OF HIS GARMENT?

THE BIBLE SAYS AS MANY AS TOUCHED

WERE MADE PERFECTLY WHOLE!
